Description

As part of the AJLI Training Collaborative – We are thrilled to bring exciting new training opportunities to our JL Jax members!

Description:
We live in a culture that expects new parents to be isolated, exhausted, and depleted—and then blames them for struggling. This training teaches you how to nourish yourself and ask for support during the fourth trimester.
You’ll learn: why asking for help feels impossible, how to honor your food roots and cultural traditions, the science behind postpartum nutritional needs, scripts for the “what can I bring?” conversation, and how to build support networks that work within real-world constraints.
This isn’t about perfect meal plans or wellness culture. It’s about real talk, evidence-based nutrition in plain English, and tools that honor your life, your culture, and your circumstances.
Come ready to share your food story, practice vulnerability, and leave with concrete tools for asking for what you need. You don’t need all the answers—just a willingness to ask the questions.
For expectant parents, their support networks, and anyone who wants to show up better during life’s transitions.
