BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Courtney Taylor

President 

Courtney Taylor is a civic leader and educator, currently serving as the President of the Junior League of Jacksonville. She has been an active member of the Junior League since 2011 and has played a pivotal role in various community initiatives and projects. 

Before taking on her leadership role in the Junior League, Courtney had an accomplished career in education. She started as a middle school classroom teacher in Duval County, where she honed her passion for empowering young minds and fostering supportive learning environments. Her dedication and expertise in the field led her to take on additional responsibilities, and she later served as a college and career readiness coordinator at the high school level and as a middle school assistant principal. 

Courtney’s academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership. 

In addition to her commitments within the Junior League, Courtney has been deeply involved in philanthropy and community service. She has served as the past co-chair of the Red Shield Ball, an event dedicated to the benefit of the Salvation Army and is also a member of the Women’s Board that raises money for the innovative and lifesaving services and facilities of Wolfson Children’s Hospital. 

Courtney lives in San Marco with her husband, Jacob, and their 7-year-old son, Lawson. Courtney is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community and inspiring others to get involved and create meaningful change in Jacksonville and beyond. 

 

Kimberly Barrett

President-Elect

Kimberly Barrett joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2015. She has been elected to serve as the President Elect for the 2023-2024 League year. Kimberly is excited to serve as the 2024-2025 League President as the organization navigates its 101st year serving the community of North Florida.

Kimberly started her time in the League serving on the Fundraising committee followed by the Membership Enrichment and Training committee. She enjoyed her first leadership position as the chair of the Membership and Enrichment committee. Kimberly co-chaired the League’s Holiday Tour of Homes committee during the event’s second year, which occurred during the onset of a worldwide health pandemic. Kimberly had the honor of being slated for the Fall 2020 vacant Executive Vice President position and served in this role while remaining co-chair of the Tour of Homes committee. She rose to the Executive Vice President position for the 2021-2022 League year. Most recently, Kimberly was the Vice President of the Membership Council for the 2022-2023 League year. Kimberly is also a member of the following organizations: Women in Defense (WID); Federal Probation and Pretrial Services Officer Association (FPPOA); Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE); National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). She continues to volunteer in the community by serving at her church as a Trustee as well as the pre-teen Sunday school teacher. Kimberly is also the Secretary for the Trustee team.

Kimberly has a professional career as a United States Pretrial Services Officer in the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division. Additionally, she is the Implementation Coordinator and Program Lead for her agency’s Wellness program. Kimberly is the Jacksonville Division’s Intern Coordinator. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas. While in college, Kimberly was an active member of the American Humanics Student Association, a national certification program in nonprofit management and leadership. She holds a Federal Probation and Pretrial Services Officer certification, which she obtained after completing the extensive academy at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Prior to serving as a Federal Officer, she worked for the State of Florida as a Senior Correctional Probation Officer and then as a Parole Commission Hearing Officer. Kimberly has worked in the community corrections field for approximately 19 years.

Personally, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling, watching a good movie, going on family hikes, and trying new places to eat. Kimberly is excited to be part of the Leadership Jacksonville (LJ) class of 2024. She is looking forward to collaborating and learning with her fellow LJ classmates during the yearlong program. Kimberly has called North Florida home since 2004.

 

Alexandra Reinhardt

Executive Vice President

Alexandra is excited to serve as the Executive Vice President for the Junior League of Jacksonville’s 100th year!  As EVP, Alexandra will work with the Junior League of Jacksonville EVP-Elect as well as Joint and Management Councils to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the Communications, Membership, Community, Fund Development and Finance Councils. She will oversee Joint Council and direct the coordination between the Management Council and the Board of Directors. 

Alexandra’s Junior League journey began in 2013 when she joined the Junior League of Lexington while living in Lexington, KY. After being voted Provisional of the Year in spring 2014 by membership, Alexandra sat on the Horse Show Board as Ground Chair for the Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show which has grown to be the world’s largest outdoor American Saddlebred show and the first leg of the Saddlebred “Triple Crown”.   

Following a move to Orlando, Fl. Alexandra transferred to the Junior League of Greater Orlando (JLGO) in fall 2015 where she served in various positions on both Fundraising and Community Councils. Alexandra spent two years as part of the Management Team of the JLGO as the VP of Fundraising overseeing a highly successful Fundraising Council as the JLGO moved from a single event fundraiser to forming a Campaigns Council charged with planning and executing multiple events monthly throughout the year for membership and the community alike.  

When family commitments called for a re-location in 2020, Alexandra moved to Jacksonville. Fulfilling her obligations as VP Fundraising with the JLGO during the pandemic, Alexandra transferred to JLJax officially in 2021 where she served on the Fund Development Council and then as EVP-Elect in 2022.  

Professionally, Alexandra is the PR and Community Partnership Coordinator for Baptist Medical Center Clay. Alexandra’s perfect day includes a good cup of local coffee, adventuring with her husband Chris and young son, and curling up with a good book and her two dogs and two cats.  

 

Ally Simon

Secretary

Alexandra (Ally) Simon serves as this year’s Secretary on the Board of Directors. Ally joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2016. She has served as the Vice-Chair of Vendor Relations for Unique Boutique, Vice-Chair of Operations for Whale of a Sale, Grant Writing Chair, Diversity and Inclusion Committee Member, and most recently as Membership Chair. 

Ally earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Murray State University as well as a Juris Doctor and a Master of Arts from the University of Oklahoma. Ally is a licensed attorney in New York, Texas, and Washington and holds an Authorized House Counsel certification in Florida. Professionally, Ally is the Vice President and Counsel for a title insurance company. In addition to the Junior League, Ally is a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority Foundation Board of Directors and the Pace Center for Girls Young Professionals Board.  

Ally and her husband Chris are foster fails and live in the Avondale neighborhood with their five cats. In her free time, she enjoys reading, napping with her animals, OrangeTheory, and traveling to new countries. She collects U.S. National Park stamps and old copies of the book Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

 

Monica Walker

Treasurer

As Treasurer, Monica will monitor the league’s finances and assure we comply with monthly/annual filings. Monica is excited for her 2nd year on the Board of Directors and for the 100th year as a league.  

Monica joined the Junior League in 2019 and has enjoyed meeting others and serving the community. Most recently she was the treasurer elect. She has served on the Whale of a Sale and Fresh Minds committee as well. As a Jacksonville native, she enjoys giving back to a community that holds a special place in her heart. 

Monica is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a BA in Accounting and Master of Accountancy. She is a certified public accountant with the state of Florida and has been working in public accounting for over 10 years. 

Professionally, Monica works at BDO USA, PA where she is a Senior Tax Manager. In addition to her core tax responsibilities, she is involved in the firm’s volunteer initiative (BDO Counts), assists with recruiting new candidates, and helps lead the women’s inclusion chapter in the Jacksonville office/nationally across the firm. She has always believed that you grow professionally and personally when you take on leadership roles outside of your core responsibilities. 

For fun, Monica enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, boating, and gardening. She also has a passion for historic houses and loves spending time walking/running, brunching, and shopping in her neighborhood of Avondale.

 

Sarah Kiesow

Legal Counsel

Sarah Kiesow joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2019. She has previously served on the Enrichments Committee and as Legal Counsel for the Board of Directors.  

Sarah is an insurance defense attorney with Saalfield Shad, P.A. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and History and a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from Florida State University, which she graduated from in 2015. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 2018 and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2018.  

Sarah lives in the Murray Hill neighborhood with her cat Ramona. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, trips to Florida’s beaches or springs, and spending time with family and friends.  

 

Leigha Tipley

Nominating Chair

This year’s Nominating Chair is Leigha Tipley. In this role, she will oversee, with the help of the Nominating-Elect, the Nominating Process in providing a slate for next year’s leadership. She is eager to continue the mission of the League through both voice and action. As a recruiter, this role weaves seamlessly with her passion for connection and networking. 

She has greatly enjoyed her years within the League since joining in 2016. She has held leadership roles such as Nominating-Elect, Membership Outreach & Admissions Chair, Placement Vice Chair, and Vice Chair-Logistics, for the JLJ’s 30th Whale of a Sale.  

Outside of the League, she continues to be an avid volunteer and is a passionately driven mental health advocate. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville, FL affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and is a certified “Ending the Silence” presenter where she has been able to reach many of our local youth with her message of recovery. 

Professionally, Leigha works at Mott MacDonald as a Talent Acquisition Leader focusing on strategic workforce planning. Leigha holds a BA in Business Administration from Westminster College (PA), where she played softball, and moved to Jacksonville post-graduation in 2011. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Jacksonville University in 2017. 

She still loves to play and watch sports, but her true love is spending time with her husband, Christopher, their children, Deklan, 5, Violet, 3, and Brody, 10 mos., and recently adopted mutt puppy, Steele. The house is nothing short of crazy but sits full on a foundation of love. 

 

Meg Phillips Folds

Sustainer Representative

Meg Phillips Folds, Programs Director for Leadership Jacksonville, manages Leadership Jacksonville’s Youth Leadership Jacksonville and Next Generation programs. Prior to joining Leadership Jacksonville in 2002, Meg had twenty years of sales management in the telecommunications sector.

In addition to her professional roles, she has served many community organizations including the Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital ( 2023-24 Florida Forum Chair, 2021 Art & Antiques Show Chair, Board of Directors), Jacksonville Women’s Network (President 2022), Junior League of Jacksonville (Board of Directors – Sustainer Representative 2023 -2024, President 2001-2002), the Rotary Club of San Marco (Charter President, Board of Directors), Girls Inc. (Past President), Memorial Park Association Board of Trustees and the Salvation Army as a Celebrity Chef. She is a member of Leadership Jacksonville Class of 1999.

Meg has been honored to receive the AT&T Community Service Award, Junior League of Jacksonville Pam Paul Award, the Tillie K. Fowler Award, and the Rotary District 6970 Service Above Self Award and Rotarian of the Year.

Meg is an alumna of The Bolles School. She graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science and did post graduate work at FSU and UNF.

Meg is thrilled to be a grandmother to James; Mom to Chris Folds, Chief Community Partnerships Officer at Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville and mother-in-law to Lauren, an accountant. Meg has recently ‘crossed the river’ and resides in San Jose with Abby, her yellow Labrador. In her spare time, she loves entertaining, volunteering, and playing Bunco on a regular basis with thirty of her closest friends. 

 

Erin Almond

Board Member-at-Large 

As DE&I Board Member-at-Large, Erin will work to enhance the Junior League of Jacksonville’s ability to overcome bias, make better decisions together and create places where everyone can thrive. This includes engaging in careful examination of all aspects of the League’s operations, membership and leadership development efforts and also supporting the League through raising awareness, and offering guidance to our organization and our members by participating in purposeful dialogues and activities.

Erin is passionate about educational equity and access, and has spent the last ten years of her career working within the KIPP Network to further postsecondary access and outcomes for students. Most recently, Erin has assumed the role as the founding Director of Equity and Engagement at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools. In this capacity she will continue to lead the region’s work on racial equity and justice and help establish a strategic plan for family and community engagement rooted in transparent communication and shared decision making.

Erin joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2019 at the suggestion of a mentor, and has been thrilled to have the opportunity to meet like-minded women who are passionate about serving the community and growing in leadership and voluntarism. Her favorite service opportunities have been with Sanctuary on 8th, Sulzbacher Center, and White Harvest Farms; and she has been a member of the Grantwriting and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committees.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Sociology and African American Studies, a Master of Education Degree in Social Science Education from the University of Georgia, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  In addition to her service with the Junior League of Jacksonville, she is an active member of Higher Definition Church. In her spare time, you can find her enjoying her family, reading, and exploring Jacksonville.

 

Danielle Bush Stacy

Board Member-at-Large

Immediate Past President, Danielle joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in the spring of 2011. She has served as Holiday Market Chair (’14), New Member Advisor (’17) and Whale of Sale Chair (’20).  She has been on the board or Management Council since 2015 as VP of Membership (’15&’16) Nominating-Elect (’17), Nominating Chair (’18),  EVP-Elect (’19), EVP (’20) President-Elect (’21) and served as the 2022-23 President.  Danielle is currently a Member at Large on the board, chairing the 100th Year Anniversary.  

Danielle works for Valet Living as a Regional Sales Executive. She serves on the board of directors for the First Coast Apartment Association and chairs their awards gala, Circle of Excellence.  Danielle was recognized with the 2019 Supplier of the Year award from FCAA. She serves on the APAC board for the Florida Apartment Association (FAA) and is a member of the FAA Legislative Committee and Florida Suppliers Council.   

Danielle attended the University of North Florida (UNF) and received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications (’00) and her Master of Business Administration (’08). While at UNF, Danielle was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and gave back to her sorority by co-advising the UF Chapter of AXO (2018-2021). 

Danielle is married to Tom Stacy. They have 2 sons, Dustin and Xander, 2 dogs and 2 cats and live in the Bartram area of Jacksonville . In her free time, Danielle likes to travel with her family and friends, float down a lazy river, cheer on the Florida Gators, attend concerts, go to brunch, go on cruises, read, and explore Florida’s beaches. 

 

Jillian Whittemore

Board Member-at-Large

Jillian joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2019 and quickly became deeply involved in community projects. She served as a Community committee member in 2020 and took over as Chair of Fresh Minds in 2021. Under Jillian’s leadership, JLJax’s signature project of meal kits grew from 112 meals per month to over 5,600 meals per year. Jillian is passionate about utilizing the talents and skills of JLJ’s amazing members to maximize the impact on our community.

After receiving undergrad degrees in Chemistry and Communications from Mississippi University for Women, Jillian received her MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her professional career has included public relations, marketing, major donor political fundraising, and developing multiple companies. Jillian now serves as a consultant to businesses that need to overcome obstacles to reach their next level of success.

Jillian loves being involved in the community of Jacksonville, including serving as PTA president for Bartram Springs Elementary. She is dedicated to her husband, James, and their two children, Georgia (9) and Dean (7). In her spare time, Jillian enjoys cooking, tablescaping, and traveling.

MANAGEMENT COUNCIL

Aneesah Fadil

Executive Vice President-Elect

EVP-Elect Aneesah hopes to incorporate effective retention strategies and increase member engagement with the Junior League of Jacksonville’s EVP and Management Council to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the Communications, Membership, Community, Fund Development and Finance Councils. She is also excited to support EVP Alexandra with sustaining the level of reporting to increase the League’s data application and assist with the coordination between the Management Council and the Board of Directors. 

Aneesah joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2020 and quickly became involved in the communications council. She served as the Social Media Vice Chair in 2021 and Communications Chair in 2022. Through her tandem leadership with her VP, the League has received monthly on-time newsletters and has seen incremental engagement increases across the many social media channels. 

After receiving her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Florida, Aneesah received her Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law. Following law school, Aneesah continued to her career by transitioning from Publix’s retail environment to Publix corporate, using her legal/business degree to assist within Human Resources. Aneesah will be with Publix Supermarkets, Inc. for 20 years in March 2023 and is currently the Divisional Associate Relations Manager for the Jacksonville Division. She manages a team of seven (7) specialists who work with the 43,000+ associates, as well as acts as a consultant and business partner with the Jacksonville Divisional Vice President and Regional Directors. 

Aneesah has loved ensuring she gives back to the community that she works and lives in. She is dedicated to her husband, Sam, and mini–Australian Shepherd, Dakota, and newest baby boy, Bradley, who was born on April 22. In her spare time, Aneesah enjoys hanging out with Dakota, spending time with her family, binge watching TV shows and shopping. 

 

Jacqueline Stallone

VP, Community Council

Jacqueline Stallone serves as this year’s Vice President of Community. In this role, she oversees the League’s nutritional education efforts through the Fresh Minds and Kids in the Kitchen initiatives, supports and engages in the advocacy efforts though the Public Affairs Committee, and ensures diversity in the leagues volunteer engagement with other community organizations through Done in a Day shifts.  

Jacqueline joined the JLJ in 2020, was previously a member of the Fresh Minds Committee, and served as Vice Chair of the Kids in The Kitchen Committee. She has a passion for advocating for community impact initiatives and spreading awareness on food insecurity and other critical issues. She is most excited for the opportunity to expand volunteer and advocacy opportunities for the women of the League as we celebrate our 100th year.  

Jacqueline graduated from UNF with a BA in Criminal Justice, holds an MA in Psychology, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Non-Profit Management. She has been working as Grant / Contract Manager within the nonprofit sector since 2017, managing local, state and federal grants to ensure funding to vulnerable, underserved and at-risk populations.  

Professionally, Jacqueline works at United Way of Northeast Florida, as the Community Impact Grant Manager. She is responsible for overseeing multiple grants that provide access to mental health services for youth in the Duval County school system, support food/nutrition initiatives, and fund emergency services and basic needs to individuals and families throughout Duval, Clay and St. Johns County.  

Through her League placements, Jacqueline has also been able to share some of what she loves doing most in her free time – cooking and trying out new recipes. She also enjoys visiting local gardens and working in her own garden during the cooler months. Jacqueline is a South Florida native originally, who moved back to Jacksonville 5 years ago and resides in the Murray Hill area. She is a fur momma to four cats and one pup and is a lover of all animals.  

 

Ashley Volz

VP, Communications Council

Ashley is currently the Vice President of Communications. She is eager to continue the efforts of the VP’s before her, by providing engaging and informative content to the community and League members. She is most looking forward to collaborating on communication efforts with all JLJax councils for the 100th year celebrations. 

Ashley joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in the fall of 2016. After her new member year, she has served multiple leadership positions within the league. Ashley was Co-chair of the Fund Development Committee (18), Board Secretary (19), Vice-Chair, Quota & Volunteer Coordinator (19) and Chair of the 30th and final Whale of a Sale (20).  

Outside of the League, she continues to be an avid volunteer and is passionate about inclusion for individuals with disabilities. Ashley was a member of the Down Syndrome of Jacksonville’s Young Professional board since 2016. Where she was a founding member and held multiple leadership roles, including President for three years.  

Ashley is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a BS in Health Services Administration and a Masters in Health Administration. After moving back to Jacksonville, Ashley began working for the University of Florida, College of Medicine – Jacksonville. Where she is currently a Graduate Medical Education Administrator. Ashley works closely with the Pediatric Residency program, Child Abuse Fellowship program, Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship program and the third & fourth year medical students. 

Ashley and her husband, Joshua, live in the Venetia area of Jacksonville with their two dachshunds, Finnegan and Riggins. She enjoys watching Gator & Jaguar football, being out on the boat or snuggled up on the couch and reading a thriller with a glass of cabernet. 

 

Ellen Love

VP, Fundraising Council

Ellen Love is the Vice President of Fund Raising for 2023-2024. Ellen joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2021 and served as the Farm to Table committee chair for 2022-2023.  

Ellen is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and earned a master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of North Florida. Professionally, she works at Mayo Clinic as a Clinical Operations Manager. Outside of the Junior League, she is an active member of the UNF Health Administration Alumni Board and mentors several students. Ellen is originally from St. Augustine, Florida and enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with family and friends.  

 

 

 

Dykisha Potter

VP, Membership Development

Dykisha Potter serves as the Vice President of Membership Development for the Junior League of Jacksonville’s 100th year! In this role she oversees all of JLJ’s member recruitment and engagement efforts. She is so excited to connect with all of our members, from New Members to Sustainers, and to continue the League‘s efforts to attract and retain a diverse membership. 

Dykisha joined the Junior League of Jacksonville in 2019.  She has previously served as the Vice Chair of the Fresh Minds Committee, Chair of Admissions and Outreach on the Membership, Outreach, and Engagement Committee, and VP of Community.  She is the proud recipient of the JLJ’s 2022 Pamela Y. Paul Community Service award and is looking forward to continuing to serve the community through JLJ’s many volunteer offerings, including her favorite – Halloween Doors and More with Community Hospice.  

Outside of JLJ, Dykisha is a Site Coordinator with Communities in Schools of Jacksonville at Englewood High School where she works with students supporting college and career readiness.  She is also a member of the Jacksonville Urban League Young Professionals where she serves as Secretary and the co-founder of the ampED National Fellowship which works to amplify the voices of black educators in the education policy realm.  Dykisha is passionate about addressing inequities in education and other social determinants of health and is currently pursuing a Master in Public Policy degree at Jacksonville University. She holds a BSBA in Economics from the University of Miami and an MA in Teaching from the University of North Florida. In her free time she loves dancing, traveling, and trying new foods. She is originally from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.  

 

Rhiannon Powell

Nominating-Elect

Rhiannon started her JLJax journey in 2017 as a provisional and has continued to serve the league through various leadership roles.  Her community placements roles as DIAD Vice Chair,  DIAD Chair, and Vice President of Community helped her see first-hand how service work focuses on creating a positive impact on the community.  She is passionate about the League’s efforts to provide community-based interventions that educate the population on healthy eating and provide nutritious food choices to underserved communities. During the 2022-2023  League Year, Rhiannon served as a member-at-large on the Board of Directors.

Rhiannon is a graduate of both the University of Florida and the University of Alabama.  Her entire professional career has been with Ascension Health where she is currently a Program Consultant for Clinical Professional Development.  Outside of the league, Rhiannon’s volunteer experience includes the Parent Teacher Association at her children’s school, advising for Alpha Chi Omega, and active member of CISV International. Rhiannon and her husband, Kevin, live in the Avondale area of Jacksonville with their two sons, Kaden and Jack.  She enjoys watching Gator Football, being on the water, and traveling with her family.
