THE NEW MEMBER EXPERIENCE

New Junior League of Jacksonville members participate in a robust curriculum designed to give them an immersive League experience and equip them to be effective community leaders. New Members can expect to commit roughly 2-4 hours monthly over the course of their Prospective League year to training, volunteer, and social activities.

Prospective members must be:

  • at least 22 years old as of June 1 of the year in which membership would begin (there is not maximum age to join)
  • reside within the Jacksonville admissions area of Duval, Clay, Nassau, St. Johns, Flagler, Baker or Putnam Counties (in FL) and Camden County (in GA)
  • demonstrate an interest in volunteerism and a commitment to community service and
  • show an interest in developing her potential for voluntary community participation.

New Member Requirements: 

  • $150 New Member Fee (paid by Kickoff)
  • Attend the New Member “Super Saturday” Kickoff
  • Attend at minimum 2 Socials/Enrichments
  • Attend at minimum 2 General Membership Meetings
  • Complete community volunteer shifts (1 KITK or 1 Fresh Minds & 1 Done in a Day shift)
  • Complete 1 Flex obligation (1 Community Shift, 1 Training OR 1 Fundraising contribution (This can be completed by volunteering at a Fundraising event, by making a $50 (personal donation or asks) for JLJAX, donate or secure a Silent Auction item(s) valued at $200+, or Secure a Partner Sponsorship(s) of $1000 or more.
